I love comics. It is that simple. I love superheroes, I love detectives, I love fantasy, and war, and love and revenge, and big shiny splash pages.

And every comic I pick up has that one panel. You know the one. The one you linger on a bit longer than the others. It’s that image, that snapshot, that moment. That Panel. As the Curator of Panel of the Week (POTW) I embrace that panel and try to spread its word like bitchin’, kung fu gospel.

To the faithful that will visit POTW these images could very well be old friends. Old friends maybe bagged, maybe boarded, but certainly buried in long boxes or drawers or piles. Dig them out, you zealots! Dig them out and remind yourselves what splash pages, and cross-over events, and team-ups are all about!

And maybe, maybe everyone once in a while I’ll post something you don’t know about. Something you have never seen. Then it’s just cats sharing the love, one plasma-blasting panel at a time. Nothing wrong with that.
